Alfred produces educational, reference, pop, and performance materials for teachers, students, professionals, and hobbyists spanning every musical instrument, style, and difficulty level. Written when the composer was just 17 to 18 years of age, these romantic-styled pieces for piano trio were dedicated to 3 friends, Natalya, Lyudmila, and Vera Skalon. They feature a short passage that would later be used in Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto, beginning the 2nd movement. It is an especially nice, and playable, ensemble concert piece, technically within the reach of late intermediate artists.
